Why are the American people paying with their lives for the election of the wrong president?

Many times voters elect the president because this political figure shares the same political ideology, they are against the party in power, they support the same religious beliefs and they have a vision of the country that meets the expectations of those voters and the American voters are not the exception.


"For Donald Trump's incompetence right now the conservatives, or American liberals, the red or blue states, the poor or rich, the black or white Americans are paying with their lives, and all for having chosen the wrong president."

Sociologists and scholars of behavior say "the peoples have the president they deserve at a certain moment", but the coronavirus crisis is showing that the American people do not deserve in the presidency a president as incompetent as Donald Trump right now.

Why was Donald Trump elected as the world's most powerful nation president? It is a topic that breaks the scheme when it comes to choosing the right man to be president in one of the nation with the most advanced democratic system, but ideologically paralyzed by an internal struggle between the Republican conservatives and the democratic liberals.

Can American voters make the mistake of choosing the wrong president as a result of partisan fanaticism, fear of losing their cultural identity, hatred of establishment politicians, especially the republican extremist nationalists? In the case of Republican conservatives, choosing Donald Trump is a mistake that is costing thousands of Americans lives due to the poor crisis management and lack of leadership of Donald Trump.

Many times voters do not take into account the character, intelligence, knowledge, moral behavior, emotional stability, personality and ability to manage a nation with a bureaucratic apparatus as large, important, influential and complex as the United States. When voters choose the wrong president, they almost always end up suffering the consequences of their bad election. How long will voters support that president? It all depends on how long those voters justify the wrong behavior of the president that is affecting their interests.

American voters, especially the most conservative of the republican party, starting from the electoral trend of the moment, can choose a president who can be a good president, but they can also choose the wrong president if they vote for emotion not with the mind, thinking about the best interests of the nation. If voters do not understand what it really means to be president of the United States and how political decisions can affect the functioning of a nation, fear is not the best reason to vote for president.

 This is where partisan fanaticism, personality cult, nationalism, religious fanaticism, racist thinking, anti-immigrant sentiment and betting on change as a result of personal ignorance can condition the election of the wrong individual, demagogue, narcissistic, autocrat with dictatorial mentality as is the case with current President Donald Trump.

When conservative Americans grow tired of counting the bags of dead people and millions of people affected by the failure of Donald Trump's health policies by the coronavirus crisis, then it will be too late to recognize that a bad choice has a negative consequence for the entire nation. Whether they want to accept it or not, they are also responsible for the death of those Americans.

United States President Donald Trump is currently responsible for the spread of the largest health pandemic in which more than 300,000 are infected causing the death of more than 10,000 Americans known as the coronavirus. That is the reality that fans of trumpism do not want to accept right now.

The lack of leadership of President Donald Trump in times of crisis in which also his ambivalent behavior, conservative ideology, slowness to face the pandemic, lack of correct decision, confusing message, enormous ignorance and political ambitions is the reason behind the enormous disasters that The nation is suffering now and all because the American people have chosen the wrong president.


The failure of the federal leadership is notorious when we analyze the number of infected and dead as a result of the coronavirus pandemic in comparisons to other nations, because the president does not listen to scientists when making decisions that can save the lives of Americans.  Donald Trump will be good for those voters who put the future of the nation in his hands, but not for those voters who are dying as a result of the failure of his government.

Someday in the future the crisis of the covid-19 pandemic will pass and historians will look at that period coming to the painful conclusion that a poor election of a president was the reason behind the worst sanitary disaster in the American nation. Conservative Republicans will try to justify Donald Trump's poor and deficient behavior out of reality in the face of the pandemic and will try to change history to save the face of the millions of Republican voters who have chosen the wrong president.
