The fights between politically extreme factions and the growing ideological extremism in America

No matter what nation you take as an example the existence of extreme factions ideologically opposed is a characteristic of all emotionally healthy societies where the right to freedom of expression, beliefs, ideas and thoughts is respected. The fights between factions within the same party is a reflection of this political division.

"The fights between ideologically opposed factions in America today is something that we all must promote if we want a democratic system in good health."

Taking as reference the different factions that exist between the traditional major parties such as the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, we come to the conclusion that these antagonistic factions that coexist within the same party are what give that party strength.

Making an analysis of the influence that these factions have within the party; take the Republican party which at this moment, you accept it or not, there is a struggle between two antagonistic factions at this moment between the moderate side controlled by the traditional figures and the conservative side who try to take control over the Republican party in the extremist idelogy to follow.

"We are all witnesses of the internal fights for the soul of the republican party right now, to deny it is to deceive the nation and oneself." The internal contradictions within a political organization is part of its internal democracy.

The fight between Stephen K. Bannon against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) from Kentucky and Paul Ryan Speaker who are accused as part of the establishment in Washington by the most conservative faction of the Republican Party is a reflection of this internal struggle between two antagonistic factions in the republican party.

When we talk about internal fights and how this faction struggle paralyzes the functioning of a party when legislating and governing, it is something that Republicans can learn from the mistakes of the democrats who never followed the wishes of the grassroots that led them to power. .

On the other hand, the democratic leaders always tried to appeal to the wishes of the moderates in the congress, but also as a way to maintain or get the votes of the famous independent voters, is one of the reasons why they are out of power now.

Within the Democratic party there has always been an internal struggle between the more liberal faction of the party and those considered moderate within the party whose imposition in this type of policy was the reason for the great electoral defeats when they lost the majority they had in both legislative chambers during the Obama Administration.

The dispute over the candidacy in the last elections between the liberal pre-candidate Bernie Sanders and the moderate pre-candidate Hillary Clinton, rather than a struggle to achieve the party's nomination was a struggle between different factions within the Democratic party to take control of the party and the type of ideology to follow.

Fight for the presidential nomination which resulted in the victory of Donald Trump because the moderates of the party never learned the lessons of the electoral defeats of the past when they lost control of the congress. When you always do the same, you should always expect the same results.

Hillary never sought support in the enthusiasm, dedication and vision of the more liberal side of the party reasons why he lost the support of this faction within the party, contrary to Donald Trump who founded his support not on the moderate republican side, his campaign totally he concentrated on getting the support of the most extreme faction of the Republican party.

Donald Trump learned of the defeat of John McCain, on the contrary Hillary Clinton never learned of the reasons behind the enthusiasms of the followers of Bernie Sanders.

The continuous search to promote "moderate policies" by Democratic leaders including Barack Obama was the reason for the loss of power by the Democratic Party. The liberal side got tired of waiting for a change of course that never came. A change of course that would also come with Hillary Clinton as president of the country.

Is the American people more nationalist now than before? My answers is; No. Although I must accept that the perception is much stronger than the reality and at this moment we are facing a perception regarding the increase of nationalism in America since the administration of Donald Trump came to power.

The different anti-immigrant marches and protests promoted by the most nationalist sectors of the nation in which the extremist racist ideology hides behind these protest manifestations in many cases is something that has always existed. The only difference at this moment is the high level of publicity received by the press this type of manifestations of protests

The differences that exist in American society which are politically divided into two defined party affiliations, although the numbers of polls give an increase in the percentage of sympathy to the independents as well.

Political tension is something that is normal in a democratic nation where two parties both have real chances of coming to power show the normal conflicts of all democracy between the one who governs and the opposition.

The fights in the different factions within each of these traditional parties, is something that should not surprise anyone at a time when we see an increase in visibility and position of power on the most extreme side of the Republican party which are fighting to have total control of the republican party and impose the conservative legislative agenda on the entire nation.
